The Rockford Marathon

Registration is now open for the 2011 Rockford, IL Marathon. Runners have the option of signing up for either full (26.2 mile) or half (13.1 mile) marathons. Relay teams comprised of up to four members are also welcome. The Rockford Marathon is USATF (USA Track & Field)-certified. It is presented in conjunction with the Rockford Area Convention & Tourism Bureau. The marathon also features and on-site community expo.

Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4), a community mental health agency serving the city’s North Side, is sponsoring its fourth annual C4 Miles: Making Strides 4 Mental Health on May 22, 2011. This unique 4-mile run along Chicago’s beautiful lakeshore and skyline is geared for serious runners, yet also includes a 2-mile walk. Our goal is twofold: to raise funds for C4 services and increase public awareness about mental illness, which affects one in four Americans over a lifetime.

The 30th Annual Ramble

A Recreational Bicycle Ride; the RAMBLE begins at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds in Wilmot, Wisconsin. The available route choices are 30, 50, 70, or 100 miles. All routes have SAG support and our famous rest stops are included. The 30th Annual BCLC RAMBLE pedals its way over rural roads which traverse the scenic lakes region of northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. The terrain is flat to rolling. Just for the fun of it, we threw in some rollercoaster hills and a challenging climb or two. The BCLC RAMBLE is a recreational ride, not a race. Riders of all capabilities are encouraged to participate and enjoy the scenery, good food, and fellowship offered at the ride.

Apple Cider Century (ACC) is an annual one-day 15, 25, 37, 50, 62, 75 or 100 mile bicycle tour of the orchards, forests and wine country in and around Three Oaks, Michigan. The ACC is a recreational and social tour for bicyclists. It is neither a race nor a test of stamina. It is intended that all participants ride the tour in a safe and intelligent manner.
